USDA
organic certification means that all the ingredients
are grown in a manner that models natural systems through promoting
biological diversity, recycling of nutrients, and replenishing soil
fertility without the use of toxic and persistent chemical pesticides
and fertilizers. The organic manufacturing process assures the integrity
of the organic ingredients through meticulous procedures of ingredient
and processing segregation, appropriate sanitation, and thorough
documentation.
QAI organic certification means
third party certification of organic food systems. This verification
effort, which documents the authenticity of organic farming and various
subsequent levels of handling, is mandatory under the USDA's Agricultural
Marketing Service and full implementation of the National Organic Program
Final Rule.
KOSHER certification means
that a rabbi or member of his
staff has inspected and certified that our products with a kosher symbol are
prepared under kashrus supervision and are either dairy or produced on dairy
equipment.
